The 2019 Juneteenth Business Awards Reception hosted by the San Francisco African American Chamber of Commerce (SFAACC) was a smashing success, as well as informative and entertaining community celebration.

 

Held at San Francisco’s War Memorial Veterans Building, SFAACC honored five 2019 awardees, including Bay Area developer Alan Dones; SFPUC General Manager Harlan Kelly; Communications Entrepreneur Noelle Bonner; Wells Fargo; and construction company owner and longtime social justice advocate Charlie Walker. Guests were entertained by Sara Williams, aka ‘Sangin Sara’ and youth performers Project Level. They also received an informative lecture on the real story behind Juneteenth by Historian John Templeton. Spice It Up Catering provided delectable and tantalizing appetizers.
