INTRODUCTION OF THE SAN FRANCISCO AFRICAN AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BOARD

 

The San Francisco African American Chamber of Commerce and its successor, the San Francisco Black Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1973 and has been a founding member of numerous other organizations, including the California Black Chamber and the National Black Chamber of Commerce.  In 1996, the San Francisco Chamber was named the number one chamber in the United States by the National Black Chamber.  The Chamber and Chamber Board are made up of a highly diversified businesses, corporate executives and government officials.  The San Francisco Chamber Board of Directors consists of the following Directors who stand ready to assist:


Mr. Frederick E. Jordan, PE, President and Board Chairman, President, F. E. Jordan Associates, engineering and construction management firm president, who has completed over 1,000 projects throughout the Western US, Africa and Central America. Recently completed the 42-story St. Regis Hotel and Condominiums, San Francisco, CA; principal of the African Opportunity Fund hedge fund.

Dr. Caesar Churchwell, DDS, Vice President, Principal, Churchwell & Co., San Francisco Commissioner and former California State Commissioner residential developer and a parking management operator.

Ms. Brigette Renee LeBlanc, MTA Secretary, LeBlanc and Associates (LAA) a boutique event consulting firm in San Francisco, with experience in event management, outreach and tourism; delivers professionalism that cannot be duplicated by combining old fashion values and 21st century technology that delivers results. www.leblancassociates.com.

Mr. James McGhee, President, Treasurer, J. L. M. Management Group, management consultant, California State Commissioner, Outreach Consultant for the $4 billion SF Public Utilities Expansion Program

Mr. Robert Simms, Esq., General Counsel
, President, Park SFO, owns and operates one of the largest airport parking garages at the San Francisco International Airport and owns the only African American Air Cargo Handling Company in the USA; legal counsel for the Chamber.

Mr. Hyacinth Ahuruonye, Auditor
, CPA, President, HCA & Co. based in San Francisco and does business nationally and internationally.

, GC, President, Baines Group, prominent licensed general contractor and developer since 1980 within the industrial, commercial and residential sector.

Dr. Housmann Banet, RA, President, Lion Capital Management Group, former economic university professor, principal of a $350 million successful hedge fund, manages a private equity firm.

Mr. Kofi Bonner
, Division President, Lennar Urban, former Oakland, CA City Manager, Mr. Bonner is in charge of the development of the $1 billion Hunters Point Naval Shipyard Redevelopment Project and the $1 billion, 6,000-home development of Candlestick Park in San Francisco, CA.

Mr. Gregory Johnson
, Gen. Manager of SF Marcus Bookstore, the oldest African-American owned independent bookstore in America and a cultural landmark in both Oakland and San Francisco, CA; Co-founder/CEO the Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Institute.

Dr. Toye‘ Moses
, Executive Director, San Francisco South East Community Facility Commission, President Emeritus of the African American Democratic Club, heads an educational consulting company.

Ms. Shonda Scott
, CEO, 360 Total Concept, LLC, a public-relations consulting firm in Oakland, CA, executive producer and talk show host for KDOL, community spotlight.

Ms. Cheryl Smith
, Director of Community Affairs for the Bay Area Division of Lennar Urban, she manages the community benefit programs, develops and monitors workforce and contracting policies and coordinates public relations activities.

Mr. Richard Soyombe, Director, Center for International Trade Development, Skyline College, develops and leads trade missions to Asia, Central and South America. Directs certified solar installation training programs in San Mateo, Marin and San Francisco counties of California.

Mr. Matthew Thomas
